Milena Vučić

Milena Vučić (born 11 November 1986 in Podgorica) is a Montenegrin singer. She currently studies journalism.

Musical career

Her musical career began several years ago in the Montenegrin girl band "Negre" in the national competition for Eurovision 2004 in Istanbul. They won third place in the competition with the song "K'o nijedna druga", gaining 46 points.
Solo career

Her solo career, however, began in 2006 with participation in the competition for the Montenegrin representative at the national competition for Eurovision in Athens, in which she made it through to the final night. She won eighth place with the song "Živa sam", gaining 23 points.

Sunčane Skale 2006 and success

In 2006, her participation in "Sunčane Skale" marked a turning point in her career. The song she had sung at the festival, "Da l' ona zna", written by Dejan Ivanović and composed by Željko Joksimović, opened the road toward furthering her work and upsurge. Participation in this festival represented her personal success, even the curiosity of the festival alone. For the first time in the festival's history that a single singer managed to win both the categories for "Young Stars" and "Song of the Summer". The festival even awarded Vučić the prestigious "Prince Award" the next year.

After her win at "Sunčane Skale", Milena Vučić became the official member of Minacord Production in Belgrade, which was founded by Željko Joksimović in 2004. She recorded her first album with the production company and was released under the City Records label in 2007. Three singles arose from the album, such as "Da l' ona zna", "Luče" and "Indijana" (which featured Texas rapper Top Notch).
